Ali Group Appoints Stuart Murray as Group Managing Director of Moffat

CERNUSCO SUL NAVIGLIO, MILAN (August 5, 2026) – Ali Group, the largest and most diversified global leader in the foodservice equipment industry, today announced the appointment of Stuart Murray as Group Managing Director of Moffat, effective September 1, 2026.

Murray brings decades of experience within the Ali Group and most recently served as Group General Manager of Moffat, a role he has held for the past year. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated strong leadership, deep industry knowledge and a steadfast commitment to the success of our business.

As part of this leadership transition, Greg O’Connell will step down from his role as Group Managing Director, marking the conclusion of a significant chapter in Moffat’s leadership. O’Connell will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

O’Connell has been part of the Group since 2000, when he played an instrumental role in Moffat’s acquisition by the Ali Group. Under his leadership, the organization has achieved numerous milestones and further strengthened its position within the industry.
