Scotsman Ice Systems Takes On ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Vernon Hills, Ill. (August 25, 2014)— The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has swept the nation and Scotsman Ice Systems executives have joined the trend. At Scotsman headquarters this week, Ali Group North America CEO Filippo Berti accepted the challenge from Rich Gleitsmann, Chief Operating Officer of Ali Group North America. Berti went on to extend the challenge to Glen Tellock, CEO, Manitowoc Group, Steve Trulaske, Owner, True Manufacturing Company, Inc.- Refrigeration, and Selim Bassoul, CEO, Middleby Corporation.

They’ve joined thousands across the country to complete the challenge, in an effort to raise money and awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. As of Thursday, August 21, The ALS Association has received $41.8 million in donations compared to $2.1 million during the same time period last year.
